The two nations committed to expanding trade and investment flows, reinforcing cooperation on economic security and supply chain resilience, and accelerating implementation of the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement.
On the security front, both countries agreed to launch annual foreign ministry consultations and broaden cooperation between the Canadian Armed Forces and the Irish Defense Forces, with a particular emphasis on maritime security training.
The framework also charts a course for closer collaboration on artificial intelligence and scientific research, with both governments expressing support for "trustworthy AI systems grounded in shared democratic values."
